You can start by contacting me to arrange a free 15-minute phone call, or you can book it directly using the form on the Contact page. This brief conversation helps us understand whether Play Therapy is the most suitable type of support for your child.
If we decide to continue, we schedule a parent or caregiver consultation. This meeting gives us space to talk in more depth about your child’s experiences, strengths and challenges, and for you to learn more about the therapeutic process. We also look at the agreement and clarify how we will work together.
Your child is then invited for an introductory session in the playroom. This first visit allows them to become familiar with the space, explore freely and begin to build a sense of safety and trust with me.
Sessions take place weekly and follow a consistent rhythm. A minimum of 12 regular sessions is recommended, and recent research suggests that many children benefit from an average of 37 sessions for steady, long-term progress.
If you have any questions, want to learn more, or prefer to talk things through, just reach out.
